In 2014 The Hands On Handsworth Residents’ Network  (HOHRN) were awarded BIg Lottery Funding to support the development of a Street Champion Programme, co-ordinated by HOHRN committee member, Sonia Hyman.


HOHRN have developed this junior programme in partnership with Connecting Neighbourhoods CIC. It’s aim is to engage and encourage children and young people, schools, youth and community groups to take pride and responsibility in their surroundings.


The Hands On Handsworth Residents’ Network is a collaboration of Residents groups :

The Wilkes Green Residents’ Association

The Grove Residents’ Association

The Women’s Help Centre, Rookery Road

The Rose Hill Residents’ Association

HOHRN meetings take place on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Meetings are held at The Handsworth Fire Station, Rookery Road.
